Gleneagles is a delightful semi-detached cottage, enjoying an enviable position directly onto the large village green. The cottage has had a varied past, once a doctor's surgery, then a chemist, it has also been used as a sweet shop and a haberdashers. The cottage has been completely renovated from top-to-toe and is now a delightful home. The ground floor is open plan with a modern well-equipped kitchen, a pretty dining/sitting area and french doors leading onto an attractive patio garden. A spiral staircase leads to two bedrooms, one with a futon (which becomes a double bed) with bunk over and the other with a romantic muslin-draped double bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower and is tiled throughout. A bed/settee on the ground floor can also sleep two, if needed.

St. Helens has many amenities, there are restaurants, shops and a pub on the green. Bembridge harbour is just 300 yards away and there are a host of superb country walks. Bembridge and St. Helens offer lovely beaches and the fishing is good too! Nearby are the well known Brading marshes, now enjoying RSPB and SSSI protection - a bird lover's paradise. The lovely villages of Bembridge and Seaview are a few minutes by car.

Accommodation: Open plan lounge/diner kitchen area. Bedroom 1: double bed. Bedroom 2: bunk beds/futon . Bathroom with bath and shower unit, w.c.. Patio garden, with garden furniture & bbq. Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, colour TV/video, CD player. All bedlinen is provided, please bring own towels and don't forget beach towels! Outside there is a utility room with toilet, freezer, washing machine, etc.

Normally bookings run from Saturday 2.00 p.m. to Saturday 10.00 a.m. unless agreed otherwise. Sometimes short weekend or midweek breaks can be arranged. Please phone for prices. Discounts for fortnightly bookings. Gas and electricity are included in the price. The cottage is not suitable for children under four years old. Young babies are fine and a cot or highchair can be hired. Pets may be allowed subject to the usual conditions; a further small charge will apply (£15 per pet). Weekly rents upon booking (by phone only) a deposit of £100 must be paid and the balance paid one month before arrival.
