HIDEAWAY HOLIDAYS offers you the exciting opportunity to taste the REAL FRANCE!

Rent Libellule for a week, a month, as you wish, to sample village life as it really is. Located in the charming 11th century village of Neffies, this will give you the true French experience!

  • 'Maison de village' in heart of pretty village.
  • Pretty beamed dining room/kitchen, salon with TV (and bed settee for extra guests)
  • Two bedrooms en suite, plus single bedroom
  • Beautiful furnishings
  • And a private sun terrace with views over the rooftops towards Pezenas and the Med.

This lovingly restored home is truly a taste of old France in the heart of the village, just seconds from the picturesque square with its typical café-bar, epicerie and boulangerie, and also an excellent traditional restaurant, Les Goutailles.

Libellule has been completely renovated from top to bottom, while leaving many of the original features - tiled floors, exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings (1000 yr old in parts!) Spacious and airy and very tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Two double bedrooms with ensuite facilities, a single bedroom, TV salon and lovely rustic dining room. Sleeps 6 in comfort.

Layout: Entrance off a narrow street, just steps from the pretty square (‘Place’). Fun ‘party room’ - a salle de fetes! - for enjoying an aperitiv with the neighbours perhaps. Useful storage cellar.

Original staircase to first floor: Kitchen with new fitted units, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, microwave, etc. Dining room with large table and chairs, fireplace, original old stone sink, and French doors to pretty small balcony dripping with flowers (I hope!).
Bedroom 1: double bed and occasional single bed. Ensuite shower, WC, basin.
Staircase to second floor: Beamed salon with bed settee and armchairs. TV with free-to-air UK channels and lovely exposed stone walls.
Bedroom 2: four-poster double bed. Ensuite shower, WC, basin.
Bedroom 3: single bed.
Utility room: washing room, toilet, basin.

Steps to roof terrace with a fantastic 180 degree view over roof tops, church and countryside (south facing, private). Tables, chairs, sunloungers. Gas BBQ with griddle. Covered summer kitchen, equipped with fridge, sink, cutlery and crockery. Also two single sofa chair/beds (more suited to young people perhaps) for sleeping ‘en plein air’.

Please note that there are 3 staircases and the top one is steep (but it didn’t put off an 80yr old Kiwi lady sleeping on the terrace for 3 weeks!!)
